Two consultation events to assess the potential and support to establish a Voluntary Sector consortium for regeneration and economic inclusion will be held on Thursday 19 April and Thursday 17 May 2012. The Regeneration and Economic Inclusion Consortium could incorporate:
§ employment, training and the environment
§ job creation contracts like ground maintenance
§ welfare rights advice
Following in the footsteps of Desta Health and Social Care Consortium, and Valens Consortium – Services for Children, Families and Young People, the Regeneration and Economic Inclusion Consortium would bring together Voluntary Organisations to bid for public contracts and to develop a new way to deliver high quality services to local people.
The events are open to:
The Chief Executives, Senior Managers, Co-ordinators and Trustees of Voluntary Organisations based in:
Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Ealing, Brent, Hounslow, Harrow and Hillingdon.
The first event on 19 April will be held in Hammersmith & Fulham - White City Community Centre, and the second event on 17 May will be held in Kensington & Chelsea - Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre.
The proposed Consortium would be a membership organisation, with a separate legal entity, and with a strategic board comprised of the membership. The Consortium would be run, on a day to day basis, by the Partnership & Commissioning Team at CaVSA Hammersmith & Fulham.
